Win a signed copy of Hazel Gaynor’s The Girl From The Savoy

Going on holidays soon? Looking to read a book to drink your gin to?

Well LadyNicci has just the 1920s answer for you.

This week Hazel Gaynor launches her third book The Girl From The Savoy, a story of a girl called Dolly who dreams of something more than being a downtrodden domestic. She takes on a job at The Savoy, London’s most glamourous hotel and it’s here that she gets a taste of what it is to be rich and famous. Dolly’s fortunes begin to change when she applies to an advertisement looking for a ‘muse’. And slowly, her past life and its secrets are revealed.

I flew through this book and loved the detail of the 1920s glitz and atmosphere. It was easy to imagine being on both sides – working as a maid in a hotel – being treated like a school girl with very little freedoms – and being on the opposite side of the stage, beautiful, famous, drinking cocktails during the day and dripping with all sorts of jewellery and satin dancing shoes.

HarperCollins have kindly provided a signed copy of The Girl From the Savoy to give away.
